The 12 Best Ways to Cleanse your Aura

The 12 best ways to cleanse your aura

One of the most common and basic aura cleansing techniques is meditation, but it’s only one of many great ways to cleanse your aura. Some people like to use crystals, while others swear by essential oils, and still, others use special candles, all in an effort to keep their energy clear and pure. But how can you tell which method is right for you? What’s the best way to cleanse your aura? Let’s take a look at the different ways that you can cleanse your aura and decide which method would be best for you, based on your specific needs.

1) Set intentions

Set positive intentions for yourself, like I am healing or I am at peace. Set positive intentions for other people, like friends and family members, who are facing difficult times. You can also set positive intentions in terms of your career or business. Setting good intentions may sound a little woo-woo or strange to you, but there is actually some real science behind it.

2) Smudge yourself

A smudge stick is a bundle of dried herbs. They’re typically made from white sage, but you can also use palo santo, rosemary or cedar—all of which have cleansing properties. The main idea behind using a smudge stick is to fan out its smoke around you in order to clear away negativity and unwanted energies. You can also bury a smudge stick in your garden or hang it from an indoor fixture like a chandelier or ceiling fan. Smudging should be done with reverence and intentionality; don’t just wave it around yourself haphazardly while you’re watching TV. Take some time to focus on yourself and how you want to be seen by others.

3) Meditate

Meditation does more than just relax you. Studies show that mindfulness exercises, where you meditate on a thought or idea in a concentrated way, can help balance your brain chemistry and improve happiness levels. In short, meditation is great for both your mind and body. Here’s how: Sit quietly, close your eyes, breathe deeply and focus on an object like a candle flame or statue of Buddha. Let all thoughts drift away from you; avoid concentrating on anything at all if possible. If you find yourself drifting back into thought, calmly bring yourself back to concentration on your chosen object. Continue doing so until it becomes easier to clear out thoughts and enjoy quiet tranquility while remaining alert.

4) Use sage or palo santo

Burning sage, palo santo or incense is a great way to get rid of negative energy. This is a cheap and easy DIY project that can easily be incorporated into daily living. Simply light a stick of incense and waft it towards you in a circular motion. You can do it in any room, but some believe there are certain areas of your home that need cleansing more than others—for example, you may want to focus on clearing out negativity from your bedroom or office. While typically associated with Wiccan practices, you don’t have to follow any spiritual path in order for burning herbs or incense to work for you. If anything, consider it as part of any self-care routine—and remember not let anything burn unattended!

5) Take a hot bath

Taking a warm bath with Epsom salts can help to remove toxins from our body. Epsom salt contains a variety of minerals including magnesium which helps relieve pain, and sulfur which can be used for detoxification. In one study it was found that soaking in an Epsom salt bath twice a week over several weeks significantly reduced migraines. Epsom salt baths are incredibly easy to make, just dissolve one cup of Epsom salts into your running bath water and soak for 20 minutes, that’s it! Feel free to add your favorite essential oils to the water.

6) Get some sunlight

One of the simplest and most effective methods of self-healing and cleansing is getting some fresh air, sunlight, and exercise. This can have an immediate effect on how you feel and can clear out a lot of mental clutter that might be preventing you from making more mindful decisions. Even if it’s a short walk around your block, be sure to spend some time outside today, even if it’s just for five minutes. You’ll feel refreshed and ready to take on life again with a positive attitude!

7) Spend time in nature

Just like you clear your mind, getting outdoors helps too. Whether you’re standing in a forest or walking down a city block, nature has an unrivaled way of clearing our energy and resetting our thought patterns. Not only will it help your auric field, it also boosts physical health. We’re animals who need sunlight and fresh air—these things aren’t luxuries; they’re essential for good health, says Dr. Meschino. You don’t have to stand outside all day long—just twenty minutes of brisk walking through a park can have an energizing effect on your mind and body.

8) Using Healing Crystals

Crystals are powerful, healing tools. They help to restore balance and clear away negative energy. And when you’re cleansing your aura, placing crystals on key points along your body will increase their power and effectiveness. The key is finding a stone that resonates with you—which is why it’s a good idea to visit an intuitive healer or crystal shop owner. I find that if I pick up a few of my favorites in-person, I end up using them more regularly as a result. It also helps me develop trust in them! Remember: Positive energy attracts positive energy, so don’t let these stones get buried in your jewelry box (which seems to be where all of mine end up). Use them! Carry them around with you!

9) Soak in Salt Water

It’s easy to quickly feel refreshed after a dip in the ocean, or a quick swim in a pool. That’s because salt water helps draw out negative ions—which can give you a whole host of health benefits. If you’re looking for something just as refreshing and cleansing without having to go through all that work, try soaking in some hot salt water first thing in the morning. You’ll wake up energized and ready for whatever challenges lay ahead. Plus, there are tons of other things that you can do with salt water; from shaving your legs (it reduces irritation) to exfoliating skin (it makes it smooth).

10) Practice Self-Care

Doing things that are restorative to yourself is a great way to give your energy a boost, especially in cases of higher-than-average stress. When you’re feeling depleted, find some way to fill up. That could mean picking up your favorite novel for an afternoon or going out for coffee with a friend you haven’t seen in a while. Make sure that you take time out of every day—even if it’s just 10 minutes—to breathe and remember that you are more than just what you do. We tend to forget these things when we have our noses pressed against our screens and devices all day long, so remember that caring for yourself is essential—no matter how busy you are or how much work still needs doing at home.

11) Move your body

Exercise can make you feel relaxed, help you manage stress and boost self-esteem. You don’t have to work out for hours or compete in an Ironman competition to enjoy these benefits, either. Even a simple walk outside can clear your head and lift your spirits – and it doesn’t hurt that exercise makes you look better, too!

12) Mantra Chanting

Simply speaking a mantra aloud while you go about your day will help keep your spiritual side in check. There are tons of mantras out there, so be sure to find one that speaks directly to you on an emotional level and works with your beliefs as well. Once you’ve found one you like, repeat it several times over a short period of time in order for it to start imprinting itself into your subconscious mind. Once it has made its way into those corners of your brain, you can repeat it silently throughout the day.
